Laurel E. Fohn
Angelo State University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Laurel Fohn to the College of Arts & Sciences. She will begin her duties as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology Fall 2013.
Dr. Fohn is a molecular biologist with specializations in developmental physiology and pathology. Her current research interests are focused on placental development and pathophysiology using transgenic rodent models. She received a prestigious post-doctoral position as a research associate at the Vanderbilt University-Medical Center Research Hospital and has publications in various journals as well as presentations at national symposia.
In addition to her Ph.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Fohn earned her M.D. with a specialization in pathology/pathophysiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston Medical School.
