Charlene D. Bustos

Teacher Education

Angelo State University is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlene Bustos to the College of Education.  She will begin her duties as Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education fall 2011.

Charlene’s specialization is in Language & Literacy. Her dissertation research was “Using Multiple Literacies to Help Children Understand Geography.” Current interests are in the connection between social studies and literature for children and in the role music plays in helping to educate children.

Dr. Bustos has 15 years of experience in Texas public schools.

She received her PhD from Texas Tech University in December 2010.
