Kathryn A. Ostrofsky
Angelo State University is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathryn Ostrofsky to the College of Arts and Sciences. She will begin her duties as Instructor in the Department of History Fall 2013.
Kathryn is an historian of twentieth-century American culture, focusing on the history of music and sound, television, childhood, and humor. She has presented her interdisciplinary work at conference on history, literature, and music, including the International Association for the Study of Popular Music-U.S. branch, which awarded her the David J. Sanjek Memorial prize in 2012 and published her work in the Journal of Popular Music Studies. She is completing her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
