Favorite restaurant in San Angelo, TX?
This changes frequently because there are so many great, local restaurants! I would have to say at this time my favorite restaurant would have to be Sealy Flats. Their fried zucchini and poblano strips are amazing!! To top it all off they have great live music there as well!!
What advice would you give a student about choosing a university?
Make sure that you take a trip to visit the university campus that you are interested in. While you are visiting campus be sure to stop and talk to some of the current students that you see, they can give you some great insight about the university. Choose a school that fits YOU, don’t choose a school based on where all your friends are going. Visiting campus will tell you a lot and help you figure out if it is the right fit for you.
What advice would you give a student about succeeding in college?
Make sure you balance your academic life with your social life. Be sure to get involved in all sorts of activities and organizations on campus but also make sure to hit the books and keep up your GPA.
What is your favorite class at ASU and why?
My favorite class at ASU was the two courses I took while studying abroad. I was able to travel to Scotland, London, Ireland, France, and Italy all in one month while receiving six hours of course credit. The experience was amazing and I am so glad that I was able to do so much traveling while in school because now in the real world it is hard to find time to take such amazing trips as that one was.
What were your favorite involvements in college and why?
One of my favorite activities to be a part of in college (and still as a grad student J) are intramurals! It is so fun to go out and compete against other students in all different sports! Intramurals get pretty competitive but are so fun to participate in because so many students are involved.
What do you like about being an admissions counselor?
I absolutely love meeting prospective students and getting them excited about ASU. Students are so fun to work with and bring a great energy that makes my job so great!
What is your favorite ASU fact?
ASU Rambelles track and field team were the NCAA Division II National Track and Field Champions for 2010!! Whoo hoo!!
