What are some of your favorite things to do in San Angelo?
I love spending time with my family, whether we are bike riding, skating, going to the movies, going out to eat or enjoying the many forms of entertainment San Angelo has to offer (theatre, ballet, symphony, etc.). I love sharing it all with them.
If you visited my office you’d see…
A friendly smile surrounded by pictures of my friends and family. I am high spirited and enjoy meeting new people.
What's a word or phrase that describes you?
Charismatic
What is your favorite restaurant in San Angelo?
My favorite restaurant in San Angelo would have to be Sealy Flats. There is nothing more enjoyable than good food accompanied by free spirited blues and jazz.
What advice would you give a student about succeeding in college?
I still remember my Freshman Orientation and the advice given to us was that our time in College is much like an empty pail. You have the choice of coming away from your experience with a full pail or an empty one. Take every chance you can to learn something new. Broaden your horizon by broadening your knowledge. You never know where life is going to take you and everything you are doing now will attribute to how strongly you greet your future.
Why did you decide to attend Angelo State University?
I like the size of ASU. It is a wonderful school that offers more opportunity for student professor relationship. The entire campus is friendly and everyone loves being here.
What's your favorite quote and why?
President Harry S. Truman once said “There is nothing new in human nature, there is only the history that we are unaware of.” To me this describes our need to learn. It does not matter what your interests are, what matters is that we continue to study our past so that we can learn more in our present and grow more for our future.
What do you like about being an admissions counselor?
I love the opportunity to give back to ASU. What better job to have than to encourage new students to strive for their best and push to succeed.
What did you study in college? Why did you choose that major?
I studied Psychology at ASU, with a minor in History. I chose Psychology because I have always been fascinated with how people think and act.
