Evaluation of Transfer Credits
When will I get my evaluation?
A student must be approved for admission before the evaluation process can begin. Once admission has been granted, the Office of Transfer Student Services will begin to process the evaluation of transfer credit.
Grades
- Grades from all transferable courses will be used for admission purposes, but will not be calculated into the cumulative GPA at ASU.
- Only transfer grades of C or above can potentially be used toward an ASU degree plan.
- Grade of WF is averaged as F.
- Grades of W and WP are not used for admission or GPA purposes.
Important Notes
- Developmental, technical and vocational courses are non-transferable and are not calculated for admission purposes.
- When a course has been repeated, the last grade stands.
- A maximum of 66 hours may be used toward ASU degree plans from accredited two-year colleges.
- Associate degrees do not transfer to ASU, only the transferable credits.
- ASU requires a minimum of 30 semester credit hours to be taken in residence, including 24 semester credit hours of advanced work in order to receive a bachelor's degree from ASU.
- ASU does not have published deadlines for admissions. It is to your advantage to plan ahead and complete your admission file in a timely manner in order to have adequate time for advising and registration.
