Accounting, Economics and Finance

The ASU Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance is more than numbers and formulas – it is about teaching students the skills and real-world knowledge they need to succeed in their careers. These strengths help the department and its students achieve their goals.

Accreditation indicates that ASU meets or surpasses national standards for qualified faculty, library resources, international business and ethics curriculum, and job placement for its graduates.

Intimate Classes

Classes in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance are relatively small and are taught by faculty members and professionals with advanced degrees. Undergraduate business students also have the opportunity to enroll in an accelerated Master of Business Administration in Accounting program that allows them to finish both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years.

Diverse Faculty

Professors in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance use lecture and discussion methods of teaching and have regular office hours for students with additional needs or questions. The department’s faculty also bring to the classroom real-world job experience in their specializations. International faculty from countries such as India, Jordan and Turkey offer students a world view of business.

Departmental faculty also devote time to research projects on topics ranging from the European Union finance structure to critical reasoning in accounting curricula.

Career Opportunities
