Center for Economic Education

The Center for Economic Education at Angelo State University strives to raise the standard of economic literacy in public schools throughout West Texas. Established in 1975, the center accomplishes its goal by conducting seminars, workshops and conferences for public school teachers in grades K-12, and often works in conjunction with regional education service centers and the Texas Council on Economic Education.

In recent years, the center has provided economic training for more than 6,000 teachers in more than 100 public school districts. The center has received the prestigious Welch Award for Center Excellence from the Texas Council on Economic Education and the highest affiliation from the National Council on Economic Education.
