Prospective Students

The Department of Agriculture at Angelo State University has an average annual enrollment of 285 undergraduate students and 25 graduate students. Undergraduate and graduate student education is the focus of the department, supplemented by ongoing research in the areas of ruminant nutrition, sheep and goat production, beef cattle production, range and wildlife, reproductive physiology and meat and food science. By participating in summer internships, judging teams, research opportunities, field trips to production facilities and departmental organizations such as Block & Bridle, The Meat and Food Science Association, Delta Tau Alpha and RAMS (Recruiting Agriculture Majors) students enhance their classroom experience and make them highly competive in today's job market.
