Rodeo Team
Angelo State University sponsors students to rodeo in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. ASU students rodeo in the Southwest Region of the NIRA. Typically, ASU has about 5 to 8 members of the rodeo team.
Even though ASU provides no formal rodeo scholarships, the Department of Agriculture and Angelo State University provide excellent scholarship opportunities to deserving students. Also, travel money is available for students on the rodeo team to compete at NIRA.
No practice or stall facilities are available solely for ASU rodeo team members. However, the San Angelo area has several stall and arena facilities.
