and will be asked to sight-read a short passage.
CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS
This year, we will again be offering Continuing Education Credit for educators during the
Camp. There will be several classes, forums and performance opportunities that will have CEU's, so you
can expand your knowledge base while your students improve, as well! For further
information, please check our web site or contact us directly.

COLOR GUARD AND TWIRLERS
As always, color guard and twirler instruction is a major aspect of our camp. Students
involved in "All-day" flags or twirling will work in techniques classes as well as learn several routines of
varying lengths, including routines for warm-up and for use in competition. This will not only help
your guard and front units "clean" faster but will give your students routines that can be put into
immediate use for your own show. Captains and other leaders will also have special classes in leadership,
working with peers and routine development. Students involved in bands but wishing to take flag class
or twirling class as their elective will also have technique classes in addition to work on routines.
CAMP FACULTY
Camp faculty will include ASU music faculty and junior high and high school band directors from throughout the state of Texas. Faculty will work with students throughout the week
in a variety of musical settings focusing on individual and group improvement.
FEE PAYMENTS
As always, we request that all fees be returned with the application form, if possible.
Room and board fees may be paid either in advance or at
registration. For those of directors that pay for all of your students by one school check, PLEASE
NOTIFY US OF THIS WHEN YOU RETURN THE APPLICATION FORMS. This will make our
bookkeeping easier and your registration process faster. If you have any questions or just
want to find out more about the great opportunities at camp, please feel free to contact us
at your convenience. We look forward to hosting you and your students this summer at the
ANGELO STATE UNIVERSITY BAND CAMP!
