Peggy Nino

Peggy Niño is a Professor of Art and has been a member of the ASU art faculty since 1989. Along with teaching a wide variety of painting courses, Ms. Niño teaches figure drawing, watercolor, and jewelry. Since 1990 she has served as co-sponsor to the Zeta Phi Chapter of Kappa Pi International Honorary Art Fraternity. Before moving to San Angelo , Ms. Niño taught at Lamar State University in Orange , Texas , and at Montgomery County Community College in Houston , Texas . She has also taught public school in Harris County ISD and Conroe ISD.

The list of shows in which Ms. Niño has participated in over the years includes state, regional, national, and international competitions. As a practicing artist she has had a number of solo exhibitions. Most recently her work was featured at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas. Other exhibitions in which she participated include the Fourth National Juried Art Exhibition at the Erman White Gallery, El Dorado, Kansas, Rosenthal International at Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville, NC, and in “Works on Paper”, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In addition to exhibiting her work on a regular basis, Ms. Niño's Artwork is held in both public and private collections.
