The above professional degree plan meets all core curriculum and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree requirements. The B.F.A. degree with a major in Studio Art requires a minimum of 120 semester credit hours, a minimum of 42 advanced (junior and senior level) semester credit hours, and a minimum of 30 semester credit hours in residence (24 of which must be at the advanced level). 24 of the last 30 hours required to complete this degree must be taken in residence.

Students wishing to pursue all level teacher certification should complete the B.F.A. with an Art Generalist specialization and contact the Educator Preparation Information Center for more information. Minimum course requirements for all level certification in art: ARTS 1302, ARTS 4381, ED 4315, ED 4321, ED 4322, ED 4974, EPSY 3303, RDG 4320. Completion of this course of study may require more than 120 hours.
