Primary Teaching Responsibilities

Research Opportunities
I currently have research opportunities available for any student interested in doing a research project involving student behavior and group composition.

Research Interests Science Education
My major area of interest is in the behavior of humans, particularly in educational settings. My research has focused on effects of gender, major, class standing, and teaching style on participation in introductory biology labs. In future projects, I would like to continue to study group dynamics in education settings. Additionally, I would like to broaden my research to include other aspects of human behavior.

Mammalogy In a totally different area, I also am interested in the relationship among hair structure, habitat, and taxonomy in mammals. I currently have research opportunities available for any student interested in doing a research project involving student behavior and group composition.
