Faculty Awards and Recognitions
Dr. Terry Maxwell was awarded a Piper Distinguished Professorship by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation for the 2006-2007 Academic Year. My nomination from ASU led from my receipt of the Excellence in Teaching Award from the ASU Faculty Senate in 2006.Other News
Dr. Loren Ammerman is Immediate Past President and current Secretary-Treasurer for the Texas Society of Mammalogists.
Dr. Connie Russell is President-Elect of the Society for College Science Teachers.
Student Awards and Recognitions
Lori Stuart received the 2006 McClung Award for the Best Paper published in the BIOS, the official publication of Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society.
The ASU chapter of Beta Beta Beta has been named the winner of the 2007 Bertholf Award as the outstanding chapter in the nation. Our chapter has earned this award an unprecedented five times over the past 17 years.
