Internships and Scholarships

We have included information for you on scholarships, deadlines to apply and other related information. Scholarships are a great way to ease financial burdens while pursuing your educational goals.

We offer internships with the San Angelo Standard-Times to give you experience on a professional newspaper before you enter the job market. Check out today's San Angelo Standard-Times to see what they're writing about. One of our interns probably has a story in the paper. Look for the byline type to say something like: I'm a Student, "Standard-Times Intern."

Besides the newspaper courses, we also teach magazine design, desktop publishing, writing, editing, ethics, and photography. The knowledgeable advisors of the CDJ department will assist you in selecting the classes that will be most beneficial for both your education and career.
