Studio One

Studio One Scholarships are available for worthy and qualified students attending Angelo State University who are:

• majoring or minoring in Communication, Drama or Journalism
• carrying a full-time load (12 hours minimum)
  • with no lower than a 3.0 GPA in their major
• the optimum Studio One Company make up each semester is:
  • 2 first year, 2-3 sophomores, 2-3 juniors, 2-3 seniors, and 2 graduates
  • with the desire and ability to perform in any of the following events
  • writing speeches, presentations, and scripts
  • performing in debate and public address showcases
  • performing in readers theatre shows professional conferences in speech, performance of literature, debate, and creative writing
• Must be able to commit to the following schedule of performances:
  • October 7 - 10 TSCA Convention in Irving, Texas
  • October 26, Alumni Center, 6:00pm (Symposium)
  • October 31, Discover ASU

  The Studio One Director and Department Chair will determine the membership of Studio One with the advice of the CDJ faculty.

  Studio One Scholarships are awarded each semester in an amount up to the cost of 6 semester credit hours of courses in communication, drama, and/or journalism. For the 2009 Fall semester, the cost of 6 hours is approximately $1300.00.
