The School of Education at Angelo State University uses a program developed by Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) and Ball State University Teachers College to assess student teachers. It is based on a set of principles that provides model standards for beginning teachers. These standards were set by the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC). If you have had at least one year of public school educational aide experience during the past five years and are currently employed by the school district, you may qualify for a student teaching waiver.
