Texas Superintendent Certification Plan

In addition to graduate school entrance requirements and department requirements, individuals seeking admission to the Superintendent Certificate plan must hold a Principal Certificate or its equivalent. The Superintendent Certificate Plan uses an online format, with the online coursework supplemented by working with a local superintendent in the student’s area. A practicum is also required. After completing the required course work, students must receive a passing score on the TExES Superintendent exam.
