Texas Superintendent Certification Plan

Individuals seeking admission to the Superintendent Certificate plan must hold a Principal Certificate or its equivalent. The Superintendent Certificate Plan uses an online format, with the online coursework supplemented by working with a local superintendent in the student’s area. A practicum is also required.

Students will receive certification after successfully completing the coursework and passing the TExES Superintendent exam.

All courses offered in the program are delivered through an online format for the convenience of the student.

State (Texas Education Agency) and nationally (NCATE) accredited.

Admission Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or better
  • Valid Texas Principal Certification or its equivalent
  • GRE scores are not required
