Dr. Alaric A. Williams

Dr. Alaric A. Williams, Assistant Professor in Curriculum & Instruction, joined the Angelo State University faculty in June 2008. Born and raised in Stamps, Arkansas, Dr. Williams holds an earned doctorate in Higher Education-Supervision, Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M-Commerce, a master's degree in counseling from Texas A&M-Commerce and a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-Commerce.

Dr. Williams served as a university mental health counselor and teaching assistant before joining the Angelo State University faculty. Dr. Williams teaches courses in the Student Development & Leadership in Higher Education Master of Education degree program. His research interests include African Americans and counseling in higher education, student development in higher education and drugs/alcohol on college campuses.

Dr. Williams enjoys spending time with his family, reading and watching sports. He is a huge fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Mavericks.
