Crisis Intervention Communication

Tami Bays is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Program Manager of the Child/Adolescent Unit at River Crest Hospital. She is a graduate of Angelo State University with her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Tami has worked with clients of all ages and has experience providing treatment for people with volatile and unstable behavior. Tami is also a certified Handle with Care instructor and for the past two years has taught a program at River Crest designed to de-escalate and manage aggressive behavior. Tami works with a variety of clients to treat and manage mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, as well as family issues, developmental disorders, substance abuse, and ADHD.

Interactive Online Course Design 101:

A 3-Day Immersion, June 24-26, Fredericksburg, TX

This workshop is for any faculty or administrators who currently use Blackboard and/or new Blackboard users who are interested in learning ways to make courses more appealing to students. Blackboard Enterprise will be used and individuals will learn the following:

• Blackboard Enterprise training
• A simple process that reduces course building completion time
• The science of design: theory and principles to guide you in your every interaction decision
• Free, easy and quick ways to add fun to your online course
• Every step of the design lifecycle - from initial field study to usability evaluation - which you'll learn by working with a team to actually design a new course
• Fun, appealing and innovative ways to keep students involved through interaction
