Degree Programs
The degree programs available in the Department of Communication, Mass Media and Theatre may be varied, but a few characteristics are the same across the board:
- Students get hands-on experience doing the same type of work they will do in professional jobs.
- Faculty are active in research and professional publications.
- Technology used in the department is undergoing a digital conversion.
Teaching methods differ depending on the faculty member and the course material. Classroom environments range from lecture to discussion and include group work as well as individual assignments. Professors also frequently use multimedia to supplement their teaching material.

This program studies human communication and the role of mass media for communication. -

This program allows communication students to test for teacher certification.

This program allows mass media students to test for certification to teach mass media in a middle or high school setting.
