The group uses multimedia and photos in some of its presentations. Some short performances focus on topics of interest, such as texting during class, to promote discussion. Students involved with the group write some of their own speeches, presentations and scripts.

The optimum Studio One Company consists of two freshmen, two to three sophomores, two to three juniors, two to three seniors and two graduate students. Eligible participants receive scholarships for their involvement.
