Welcome to the Department of Computer Science!
Thank you for your interest in Computer Science at Angelo State University. We are proud of this program and the excellent record compiled by our Computer Science graduates. The Computer Science program is recognized as one of the best in the State of Texas and has received national recognition as well.
Over 700 students have graduated from the program and are employed virtually all over the world. Many of our graduates have settled in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as well as the Houston area and the West Coast.
Many major firms such as Raytheon, USAA, Microsoft, and Sun interview our Computer Science graduates and seem to be quite pleased with our program and curriculum. To the best of our knowledge, at least 90% of our recent graduates work in Information Technology.
The Computer Science faculty are outstanding academically and take a personal interest in the success and welfare of the students. The students find the faculty readily available to discuss their particular situation.
Extracurricular activities in the Computer Science program include an active Computer Science Club and a computer programming team that participates in regional and national competitions.
