Dr. Marilyn Eisenwine
A veteran elementary and early childhood teacher in Texas public schools for 25 years, Dr. Eisenwine received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2000. Her field of study was Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in Reading. She received a Master's in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University.
In general, her research interests deal with early intervention and literacy acquisition. As a member of the Texas Archeological Society, she is also very interested in the inclusion of archeology in the school curriculum to encourage the conservation of our precious archeological resources. A native of Pecos, Texas, Dr. Eisenwine welcomes the opportunity to teach in the West Texas area at the university level.
