Dr. Richard Evans
Dr. Evans, began his career at Angelo State University in May 2008.
Dr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science and Master in Education with a Mid Management certification from Angelo State University and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in Special Education leadership and change. He is certified to teach elementary education, special education, science and mathematics through 8th grade. He is a Texas Master Reading Teacher and he is certified to be an administrator. Dr. Evans is a native Texan and his hometown is Brady, Texas. He has over 8 years experience in Texas public schools and over 6 years of experience in higher education.
Before returning to ASU, Dr. Evans was the Coordination of the Exceptional Education, Special Education Programs at James Madison University in Harrisburg, VA. Prior to this he was the undergraduate special education coordinator at the University of Texas - Permian Basin. Dr. Evans has also worked as a researcher and adjunct instructor at Texas A&M University and Blinn College in College Station Texas.
Dr. Evans hobbies include playing with the grandkids, spending time with family, and spending time in service to the local and national community.
