Teen Writers’ Camp

What is the Teen Writers’ Camp?

The Pearl of the Concho Writing Project Teen Writers’ Camp offers students the opportunity to grow as writers, work in an environment that inspires creativity and learn what writing can do for them when free of academic pressure. Students will spend five days on the ASU campus and engage in creative writing.

The goal of the Teen Writers’ Camp is to allow students of all skill levels the opportunity to become more confident in their writing and develop an appreciation of the writing process.

When is the camp?

The 2011 Teen Writers’ Camp will run July 18-29. Attendees will meet from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Monday – Friday.

Who should attend?

Students of any writing ability who will be in grades 6-8 in the fall of 2011 are eligible.

Where will the camp be conducted?

The Teen Writers’ Camp will be conducted in the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building (No. 5 on the interactive map) on the ASU campus.

What are the costs of the camp?

Tuition to the Teen Writers’ Camp is $200. This includes all supplies, a book and a writing anthology that includes published work from all attendees.
