Of the total course work, 24 semester credit hours (SCH) can be applied to the Master of Education in Professional Education degree. This provides an option for those who have a bachelor’s degree but are interested in an alternative route for initial EC-6 Generalist certification while working on an M.Ed. degree. ED 5361 Internship I and ED 5362 Internship II or a student teaching experience is required for certification. These hours are not applied toward the 36 SCH degree requirements for the M.Ed. in Professional Education. Acceptance into the Graduate Educator Preparation Program (G-EPP) at ASU is required.
