Student Activities

         English Language Learners’ Institute

Student activities are carefully planned to provide additional cultural experiences while you are having fun and making friends. We strongly encourage you to participate and attend as many events as possible. The scheduled activities vary each semester and are adjusted according to the needs and desires of the students. Examples of activities include: kayaking, horseback riding, art museums and historical sites, sporting events, downtown San Angelo, nature centers and nature hikes, trips to San Antonio, and many other various trips and activities.

                     Conversation Partners

Conversation Partners is a WEEKLY program that offers you, our English Language Learners, an opportunity to practice your English skills.  Volunteers from ASU and the community are invited to meet our ELLI international students and engage in productive conversation.  It is a great chance for international students and volunteers to learn about different cultures, possibly gain interest in a foreign language, and make life-long relationships across the globe! Whether you are an international student, an ASU student, or a community volunteer, we want to encourage you to attend!
