Effective Employee Supervisory Certificate Program

Since 1993, the Office of Extended Studies has been helping individuals receive practical tips on how to become a more successful supervisor. The Effective Employee Supervisory Certificate Program is designed for people hoping to work as supervisors, newly-promoted supervisors who want to build good management habits, and experienced supervisors who would like to brush up on particular skills or develop a new way of thinking about their work.

Each three-hour session is complete in itself and requires no prior knowledge. You may take any number of courses that meet your professional learning needs. In order to earn the Certificate in Effective Employee supervision, you must complete 36 hours of training. The certificate documents your exposure to state-of-the art supervisory techniques.

Courses in the certificate series may be taken in different semesters and/or years and combined to receive the Effective Employee Supervisory Certificate. To ensure interaction between you and instructors, enrollment is limited.

Non-Profit Management Certificate Program

According to The Nonprofit Quarterly, “The nonprofit sector is a major economic force, and in many regions is growing in terms of employment, market share, and income.” If you work in a nonprofit organization, you know what it means to have to meet expanding goals with less paid staff than you need.

To help non-profit professionals better meet the demands of their positions, Angelo State University offers the Non-Profit Management Certificate Program. This program is designed to arm you with the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently run or participate in a non-profit organization. Courses may be taken individually, especially by board members and/or volunteers who wish to enhance their contributions to an organization. The program consists of eight courses totaling 123 hours of instruction.
