Scholarships
Angelo State University First Generation Scholarship
Four (4) academic scholarships are currently being offered beginning the Fall 2008 semester. The scholarships include all in-state tuition and fees during each Fall and Spring semester and are renewable each year, for a maximum of four (4) continuous years, provided the academic renewal requirements are met. Summer terms are not included in this scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements
- First Generation Student - Any student whose parents have not completed higher education, even if they attended but did not graduate from a 2 or 4-year institution of higher learning.
- 2008 High School Graduate
- Minimum 16 ACT or 760 SAT (Those who graduated under the Recommended or Texas Scholars Programs do not need to meet minimum SAT or ACT requirements)
- Top 25% of the graduating class
- Not a recipient of the Carr Academic Scholarship
Special consideration given to those students that have received little or no financial aid from other sources.
Renewal Requirements
- Minimum 2.5 GPA each semester
- Completed a minimum of 12 Semester Credit Hours (SCH) per semester
- Have declared a major by the end of the second semester
- Demonstrate exemplary behavior
Deadline for Application
The priority deadline for new applications and all supporting materials is June 30, 2008. Applications may be considered after this priority deadline to the extent that funds are available.
RAMS First Generation Scholarship
Only students who are active participants of the First-Generation Mentor Program are eligible to apply.
