Student Responsibilities
Your host family will be in touch with you by e-mail or phone and will look forward to welcoming you to San Angelo. When you arrive at Angelo State University, you will find that you will be very busy making friends, doing your studies, and getting involved in activities at ASU. However, if you participate in this program, both the Multicultural Center and your host family will assume that you are also interested in spending time with the host family and that you will make an effort to stay in contact with them.
Please remember that the host families are volunteers and although they may generously decide to do so, they are not expected to:
- Provide housing for you
- Drive you around
- Invite you home for the holidays
