Business Administration Program Description
The Master of Business Administration in Management is a broad degree program that has as its objective the development and enhancement of knowledge valuable to executives, administrators, and managers in both the profit and nonprofit sectors of the economy.
The educational emphasis of the MBA program is on organizational decision-making. The program is appropriate for those pursuing or seeking a career at the executive level in both public and private organizations as a Human Resource Manager, Benefits Coordinator, Management Consultant, Sales and Marketing Manager, Store Manager, or Strategic Planner.
Business Administration Program Requirments
- A four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- 24 hours of undergraduate work: (Principles of Accounting I and II, Statistical Analysis for Business and Economics, Economic Analysis or Principles of Economics, Economic Analysis or Principles of Economics II, Introduction to Business Computer Applications, Mathematics for Business II, Principles of Management, and Marketing); may be taken concurrently with graduate courses
- The Graduate Management Admission Exam (GMAT)
- An application essay of no more than 500 words
- Current Resumé
- An overall undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 2.5 (including all grades on repeated courses) or a GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate work (including all grades on repeated courses) or a GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate work (including all grades on repeated courses) or a GPA of 3.0 or better in six or more graduate-level semester credit hours taken in a graduate degree program in a discipline relevant to the graduate program in Business Administration
Business Administraion Program Coursework
The student must complete a minimum of 39 semester credit hours (sch) of graduate work, 33 required sch and 6 sch of graduate course electives. All courses are scheduled during the evening.
