Program Information

The Master of Science in Biology program covers a broad range of subject areas. It prepares the student for continuing with a doctoral degree program, service in a reasearch-related environment or the teaching profession. Laboratory facilities and research and teaching collections of plants and animals are located on the campus.

Opportunities for field-related graduate research are enhanced by the location of San Angelo in an ecotone between several biotic provinces.

The biology faculty are engaged in research that includes behavioral and evolutionalry ecology, microbial ecology, molecular genetics, parasitology, neurophysiology, and ecology and systematics of plants and animals.
