Bachelor of Arts in History

(History Major – 120 semester credit hours)
A major in history requires a total of 30 semester hours, of which nine semester hours should be in the field of American history, exclusive of survey courses, and nine semester hours outside American history, exclusive of European survey courses.

The above plan meets all core curriculum and Bachelor of Arts degree requirements.

The B.A. degree with a major in history requires a minimum of 120 semester credit hours, a minimum of 42 advanced (junior- and senior-level) semester credit hours, and a minimum of 30 semester credit hours in residence (24 of which must be at the advanced level). Twenty-four of the last 30 hours required to complete this degree must be taken in residence.
