Member of ASU History Department faculty since 1971. Areas of specialization: Native Americans; U.S. West; American Civilization.

Courses taught include U.S. history surveys; History 4302 (The American West); History 4310 (American's Cultural Heritage); History 4325 (Indians of North America).

University Service: Active participant in numerous campus committees, among them the University Master Plan Steering committee.

Scholarship: Several book reviews and one book titled A History of the Cactus Hotel (San Angelo: San Angelo Cultural Affairs Council, 1996).

Works in Progress: "Livestock Industry in West Texas."

Membership in Professional Organizations: Western Historical Association and American Philatelic Society.

Other Professional Activities: Long time member of the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee (Washington, D.C.), and Chair of committee from 1980-2004. Work with the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee recognized by national media, including periodicals such as the Smithsonian Magazine.

Community Service: Membership in the Board of Directors of the Shannon Medical Center and other local organizations, among them the Fort Concho Museum Board.
