Phi Alpha Theta
Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society in history, was organized at the University of Arkansas on March 17, 1921. Since that time it has grown to more than 839 chapters in fifty states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Philippine Islands. It has the largest number of chapters among all honor societies holding membership in the Association of College Honor Societies.
Requirements for membership are the completion of twelve hours in history with a grade point average above 3.0 and a grade point average of 3.0 for all courses.
