Students Speak Up
"I have personally benefited from the Honors Program in many ways - gaining friends outside of my department I may not have met otherwise, exposure to leadership experiences, receiving scholarships that help to alleviate the cost of both classes during the normal semesters and travel to Europe on a study abroad trip, and being provided with a place to study and have fun with peers in our 24-hour Honors Lounge."

"To me, the Honors Program is a family of students who are dedicated to the same high level of education. The program also offers wondrous benefits beyond the academic sphere, such as scholarship opportunities, reserved housing, cultural experiences, and a 24-hour study lounge reserved for students in the program. By helping one another, Honors students excel individually and achieve a high level of academic excellence throughout their years in college."

"The Honors Program has provided me with several generous scholarships, leadership training, opportunities to speak with important, as well as inspirational individuals, all-expense paid educational trips, and most of all, has acquainted me with some very dear, lifelong friends."

"I really enjoyed taking Great Works in the Arts (HONR 2302) because it opened my eyes to the differences between honors and regular classes. I was able to go to the Dallas Symphony, which helped me to understand the material better. Overall, the Honors Program encourages you to excel in college, meet new friends, and make memories!"
