Pharmacy Benefits
HealthSelect pharmacy services are provided by Medco Health Solutions, Inc. Medco Health is the nation's leading pharmacy benefits manager, serving the needs of more than 65 million people, nearly one in four Americans.
Employees may obtain an initial prescription and one refill at a participating retail pharmacy. After that, maintenance or long term medications must be purchased through Medco Health's mail order program.
A 30-day supply of generic drugs costs $10. Brand name preferred drugs (often referred to as formulary drugs) cost $25, and brand name non-preferred drug copayments are $40. If using the mail order program, the copayments for a 90-day supply are $30, $75, and $120, respectively.
