An Iguana in Costa Rica

The 2009 International Studies Program to Costa Rica, to be conducted, May 15 – June 13, 2009, will provide approximately 20 students (15 undergraduate and 5 graduate) a unique opportunity to study ecotourism and Spanish. The language portion of the program will be taught by the faculty of the Instituto de Cultura Y Lengua – Costarricense and the ecotourism portion will be taught by Angelo State University faculty.

Instituto de Cultura Y Lengua – Costarricense, in San Jose, Costa Rica is a Costa Rican culture and language institute which offers students a combination of learning Spanish and exploring the richness of the Costa Rican culture. The institute is recommended by the Centers for Academic Programs Abroad (CAPA). CAPA will be arranging details of the program. The institute is located in a suburban area (Alajuela) of San Jose, which is the capital of Costa Rica. Costa Rica, although the second smallest country in Central America, is known to be the most stable country in the region. Since 1948 Costa Rica has been recognized as an educational leader in Central America.
