Dale Carr

Lecturer and Head Football Coach
Biography: Carr comes to the University from Tyler Junior College, where he has been head coach since 1996. In that time, Carr has posted a 66-31 record as head coach, including an 18-6 mark in the last two seasons, and a 41-16 mark in the last five years. He has led the Apaches to five bowl game appearances, including a berth in the 2003 Heart of Texas Bowl. He led TJC to a conference championship in 2000, and to four runner-up spots in the league standings during his tenure as head coach. Prior to the 2004 season, the Apache program was rated as ninth by the National Junior College Athletic Association for the 2000's, based on end-of-year rankings by that association. In addition to his coaching duties, Dale teaches Theory of Coaching Football and a variety of physical activity courses in the kinesiology department.
