Dr. Melanie A. Croy
Professor of Kinesiology
Biography: Dr. Croy received two Bachelor of Science degrees from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Psychology and Physical Education. She received a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science from Oklahoma State University. After a seven-year stint as a teacher and coach in Amarillo, TX, she returned to Oklahoma State University to earn a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Administration and Higher Education. Dr. Croy served as the Head of the Department of Kinesiology for twelve years prior to returning to full-time teaching in the Fall of 2003. Dr. Croy teaches Sport and Movement Foundations, Sport Psychology, Seminar in Sport Sociology, Sport Ethics, Motor Learning and Mountain Biking. In August of 2005, Dr. Croy completed the requirements for the Master of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University-Bloomington and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
