Active Duty Military
Whether you plan to continue your career in the military or transition into civilian life, Angelo State University is a great place to continue your education. ASU offers more than 100 majors and concentrations that lead to 42 undergraduate degrees and 26 graduate degrees – including some online degree and certificate programs. The university has also established the Center for Security Studies, which oversees degree programs designed with specific interests for military students.
Named one of “The Best 376 Colleges” for 2012 by The Princeton Review, ASU has distinguished itself as a university where students benefit from smaller classes with opportunities to build relationships with faculty members. In fact, many faculty and staff have military experience, including the university president, Dr. Joseph C. Rallo.
ASU has also been named a “Military Friendly School” by G.I. Jobs magazine for two straight years, and our military friendly environment extends beyond the campus to the surrounding San Angelo community. The area has a high population of active-duty military, veterans and retirees given the close proximity to Goodfellow Air Force Base.
We are eager to help you get started with your next educational experience. ASU has dedicated offices to provide current and former military service members assistance with their benefits. The university also has numerous scholarship opportunities, as well as a focus on nontraditional students with flexible classes and a nontraditional student lounge for studying.
Thank you for your service to our country and for your interest in Angelo State. We look forward to you joining us – whether it be on campus or online!
