LGBT+ & Allies: Support, Community, and Activism

The Multicultural Center’s LGBT+ is a resource devoted to providing support to LGBT+ students and allies as they develop academically, professionally and socially. We strive to provide a safe location on campus for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

The LGBTQ+ is part of Angelo State University’s commitment to diversity education. Educational programs and events are meant to provide support to the LGBT community and provide a formal forum for equality activism. Our programs fosters collaborative partnerships with departments across campus and in the community to make ASU a safe and welcoming space for every student.

What We Do

  • Encourage developing valuable skill sets necessary to understand gender diversity
  • Connect LGBT students and allies to encourage and support their higher education goals
  • Increase gender awareness through campus and community activities and resources.
