First-Generation Programs

Nearly half of the approximately 6,200 students at ASU are first-generation college students. ASU recognizes that first-generation students have different needs and we strive to create a more welcoming and understanding campus by addressing issues related to first-generation students.

Who is a first-generation student?

First-generation college students are those who will be the first in their families to complete either a two-year or four-year college degree.
