Mr. Villers received his BS degree in Physical Therapy from The University of Texas Medical Branch School of Health Professions in Galveston, TX in 1982.  He received fellowship designation in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist under signature of The Manual Therapy Institute in 2011.  He is currently enrolled in Hardin-Simmons University’s Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program with projected graduation in December 2014.  He has practiced in multiple clinical settings for the past 30 years with specialty area in outpatient orthopedics and manual physical therapy. He has been a director of acute care and outpatient facilities and owner of a private physical therapy clinic. He has experience as a clinical instructor and Center Coordinator of Clinical Education in these settings. In 2010, Mr. Villers was recognized by the Texas Physical Therapy Association for his exemplary patient care and community service by receiving the Ruby Decker Award. Currently, Mr. Villers continues his clinical practice in outpatient orthopedics and manual physical therapy, in addition to his academic appointment.

Mr. Villers initially joined Angelo State University’s Physical Therapy program as an adjunct lecturer in 2002.  He received appointment as Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education and Assistant Clinical Professor in 2012.  His teaching areas include Clinical Practicums I, II and III and Musculoskeletal Examination and Intervention.

He is an active member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association, American Physical Therapy Association, and American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.
