West Texas Medical AssociatesDr. Joe Wilkinson has been instrumental in assisting ASU to secure legislative approval for the M.P.T. program, twice flying to Austin to testify before the Health Professions Education Advisory Committee about the need in West Texas for the M.P.T. program.
Dr. Wilkinson is an orthopedic surgeon, immediate past President of WTMA (a physician network affiliated with San Angelo Community Medical Center), and Secretary of the San Angelo Health Foundation. Both the San Angelo Health Foundation and San Angelo Community Medical Center have made substantial financial commitments over the next four years to the M.P.T. program. San Angelo Community Hospital is also in the process of providing ASU with a clinical contract of association.
