Dr. Sarbach is a graduate of the University of Heerlen in the Netherlands with a BS degree in physical therapy. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Regis University in Denver in May of 2008. Dr. Sarbach has been licensed and working in Texas since 1990. He received NDT certification in 1994, and is an APTA accredited Clinical Instructor since 2004. He has 20 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings including acute care, in-patient rehabilitation, home health, outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing, and long term care. He has extensive experience in Management and Administration of clinical settings. He has functioned as a PT supervisor since 1994 and as a multidisciplinary rehabilitation director since 1997. He is currently the Director of Physical Medicine at Shannon Medical Center, where he manages all therapy services in acute care, in-patient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and out patient services.
Dr. Sarbach joined the physical therapy department in September 2004 and teaches the Physical Therapist Administration and Management Courses.
He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Texas Physical Therapy Association and the Midwest District (Government Affairs Liaison and Key Contact person).
Dr. Sarbach is, and has been, very active in community affairs with regard to public service as well as health and wellness awareness and education. He co-chaired the “Get Healthy Challenge”, a health awareness program in conjunction with local health and fitness facilities in the San Angelo community from 2003-2005, for which he has received recognition from both the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas State Senate.
