Psychological Assessment Center (PAC)

The Psychological Assessment Center (PAC) is operated out of the Department of Psychology & Sociology at Angelo State University. It began operations during the 2002 spring semester and currently provides services to the ASU community and Concho Valley every fall and spring semester.

Location: The PAC is located in the Academic Building in room 201E.

Services offered: The PAC provides comprehensive psychological evaluations to children, adolescents and adults, including assessment of intellectual, academic, and personality functioning. The evaluations are performed by graduate students under the supervision of Dr. Bill Montgomery, Associate Professor of Psychology at ASU and a licensed Clinical Psychologist. Clients utilizing the PAC are provided with a complete report of their evaluation as well as recommendations for change. No counseling services are provided by the PAC.

Assessment fees: The PAC offers three fee schedules:

(1) ASU students are charged only for the cost ofthe answer sheets and/or record forms used to complete the assessment; the fee for a comprehensive psychological evaluation will cost approximately $20.00.
(2) ASU faculty and staff are charged an hourly rate of $10.00; the exact fee will therefore depend on the number of hours needed to complete the evaluation, less a 20% discount. The fee for a comprehensive psychological evaluation may range from a minimum of $40.00 to a maximum of $160.00.
(3) All others are charged an hourly rate of $10.00; the exact fee will therefore depend on the number of hours needed to complete the evaluation. The fee for a comprehensive psychological evaluation may range from a minimum of $50.00 to a maximum of $200.00.
