Psychological Assessment Center

The Department of Psychology, Sociology and Social Work operates the Psychological Assessment Center (PAC). The center began operating in spring 2002 and provides services to the ASU community and Concho Valley every fall and spring semester.

Location

The PAC is in Room 201E of the Academic Building.

Services Offered

The PAC provides comprehensive psychological evaluations to children, adolescents and adults, including assessments of intellectual, academic and personality functioning.

The evaluations are performed by graduate students under the supervision of Dr. Bill Montgomery, professor of psychology at ASU and a licensed clinical psychologist.

Clients using the PAC are provided with a complete report of their evaluation as well as recommendations for change. No counseling services are provided by the PAC.

Assessment Fees

The PAC offers three fee schedules:

  • ASU students are charged only for the cost of the answer sheets and/or record forms used to complete the assessment. The fee for a comprehensive psychological evaluation is about $20.
  • ASU faculty and staff are charged an hourly rate of $10, so the exact fee will therefore depend on the number of hours needed to complete the evaluation, less a 20 percent discount. The fee for a comprehensive psychological evaluation may range from a minimum of $40 to a maximum of $160.
  • All others are charged an hourly rate of $10, so the exact fee will therefore depend on the number of hours needed to complete the evaluation. The fee for a comprehensive psychological evaluation may range from a minimum of $50 to a maximum of $200.
